What does your visit include?

Our visit includes: feeding, refresh water, exercise – choice of walk or indoor/outdoor play time, litter box cleaned, medication given (if needed), lots of love and attention, bring in mail/newspapers, turn on/off lights, water plants, take out trash

Do you charge for the initial consultation?

There is no fee for the initial consultation when scheduling service at the same time. Otherwise, there will be a $20 charge. This amount will be credited to your account and applied to any service scheduled within 30 days of the consultation. We will also require a key to your home at this time. If an additional trip is needed to pick up and return keys a $20 fee will be charged. To avoid this charge, please have a key ready and consider keeping it on file with us.

If my pet makes a mess or has an accident will you clean it up?

Yes, you will find your home exactly as you left it. Please leave plenty of cleaning supplies: paper towels, old towels, plastic bags, etc. If pet is not potty trained: pee pads and/or newspaper.

Is there an additional fee for Holiday visits?

No, there is no additional fee for Holiday visits provided your appointment is made 10 days or more prior to the Holiday. For last minute appointments that we are able to accommodate during the Holiday Season there will be a $2 fee applied to each visit.

What happens if there is not enough food for my pet while I am gone?

We will contact you immediately. If we need to purchase food for your pet, we will be happy to do so. If we need to make a special trip to purchase food, a $10 trip fee plus the cost of food will apply.

Will I receive a refund if I return early or leave later then expected?

No, please understand that we have made time for your visits and may have had to turn others down to make time for your pets. We appreciate your understanding in this matter.

What is your cancellation policy?

Vacation appointments canceled less than 7 days before the first scheduled visit will be subject to a 50% cancellation fee.

Holiday cancellations made less than 14 days before the first scheduled visit will be subject to a 50% cancellation fee.

Once Service begins, there are no refunds or credits issued. This applies to Early Returns and Last Minute Changes.

There is a 24 hour cancellation policy for our daily dog walking service/daily home visits/potty break service, Sunday through Saturday. All cancellations made less than 24 hours of a scheduled visit are subject to the full charge.

The Weekly Dog Walking Special Service Program, Monday through Friday, is fully earned and subject to the full charge.

Please understand that we have scheduled time for your pets and may have had to turn others down.

When is payment due and what method of payment do you accept?

Payment is due when scheduling an appointment for service. We accept checks or cash. Please make checks payable to: Animal Tails Pet Sitting Service.
